    Job Description

    To enable Guardant Health to fight cancer through data, the Supply Chain Team is seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern – Buyer / Planner to join our team to improve and enhance business processes to support Guardant teams. At Guardant, we leverage the most advanced technologies and work with leaders in many different fields to create the most impactful and meaningful technologies for cancer management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Working under the supervision of Supply Chain Managers, you will:
    • Interact with suppliers to ensure material availability and on time delivery
    • Understand basics of contract negotiation
    • Develop and implement MRP parameters driving purchasing decisions 
    • Develop BOMs & Costing models to present to Senior Management
    • Participate in technical discussions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Completed Coursework in Operations or Supply Chain Management
    • Experience with G-Suite Applications
    • Knowledge of Excel a plus

    EDUCATION: 

    Students close to or recently completing coursework in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management
