    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Guardant Health is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager (PM) to oversee the day to day operations of Investigator Sponsored Trials (ISTs) within the Medical Affairs team.  The hiring team is looking for seasoned PMs who have managed multiple ongoing scientific projects/grants and/or clinical trials. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·      Manages operational scope and plans to achieve milestones on-time. Identifies barriers to timely and successful study execution and proposes solutions to same, with regular reporting of study performance metrics.

    ·      Effectively communicates with external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Investigators participating in ISTs being done in conjunction with Guardant Health

    ·      Works cross-functionally with other Guardant Health departments (such as Medical Affairs, Research Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Client Services, Laboratory) to execute study protocols

    ·      Consults with Investigators on data collection, regulatory questions, and protocol execution as it pertains to the Guardant Health assay.

    ·      Leads budget review and negotiation. Manages study budget and maintains it within financial goals; reviews and approves clinical invoices against approved budget.

    ·      Drives execution of study contracts between Investigative team and the Guardant Health legal team

    ·      Maintains proficiency in understanding of molecularly targeted therapies in oncology and an in-depth knowledge of genomic alterations in different cancers.

    ·      Manages and controls expenses according to Guardant Health policies. Creates Purchase Orders, receives, files and tracks invoices and facilitates payment through finance.

    ·      Participates in data review and analysis and manuscript preparation, in conjunction with others as needed.

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    ·      3+ years of strategic project management experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO company is preferred. 

    ·      Clinical experience, oncology, cancer center, inpatient or outpatient or physician office setting experience a plus

    ·      Solid organizational and business assessment skills is required

    ·      Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals and teams internally and externally

    ·      Demonstrated problem-solving skills

    ·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

    ·      Oncology therapeutic knowledge a plus

    ·      Flexible and solution seeking attitude

    ·      Ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time.

    ·      Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office as well as project management software

    ·      Driven to make a positive impact in cancer diagnosis and treatment

    ·      Detail oriented with an appetite to drive tasks to completion

    ·      Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment

    ·      Ability to work well in a group

    ·      Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

    EDUCATION:

    ·      Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in science or health-related discipline
