    Job Description

    The Follow-On CDx team is seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatic Scientist to join our team to develop scientific analysis software and perform data analyses for ongoing CDx projects, which will help bring state of the art cancer diagnostic tests to market. You will interact with a diverse team of biologists, biostatisticians and bioinformatics scientists to validate Guardant assays and develop high impact data analysis tools in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Working under the supervision of Senior Bioinformatic Scientists, you will:

    • Develop and implement new features for software tools that are used company-wide
    • Participate in and implement study designs for upcoming CDx protocols and reports for submission to the FDA
    • Participate in data analyses for ongoing CDx programs
    • Present updates orally, write reports and documentation, and participate in technical discussions
    • Get hands-on experience in validating an NGS diagnostic test as companion diagnostic
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have experience with coding in python; sql and source control software is a plus 
    • Familiarity with NGS data analysis and commonly used statistical methods
    • Experience in developing scientific software packages in python is a plus
    • Knowledge of the genomics of human cancers is a plus

    EDUCATION: 

    • Student pursuing Masters or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Applied Mathematics or related field
