    Job Description

    At Guardant Health, we are committed to positively and significantly impacting patient health through technology breakthroughs that address long-standing unmet needs in oncology. As the leader in the field of liquid biopsy, Guardant Health is looking for a summer intern excited about analyzing high-throughput genomics and epigenomics data to enable breakthroughs in cancer patient care. 

    This position will be within the Screening Research Team at Guardant, and will focus on exploration of novel assays and approaches for detection of cancer at an early stage. We are working at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation, developing novel methodologies that deliver substantial clinical impact to patients. Come join us!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze NGS data 
    • Elucidate signals relevant to early cancer detection from large-scale NGS data
    • Communicate analysis results to stakeholders across computational and experimental teams
    • Contribute to a highly collaborative work environment, participating in brainstorming sessions and maintaining a motivating work environment
    • Develop reproducible analyses for research and development activities
    • Provide written documentation and specifications
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Dedicated to make a difference in a rapid-paced startup environment
    • Enlisted in a PhD program in Bioinformatics / statistics / computer science or other quantitative field 
    • Experienced with analysis of genomic and/or epigenomic NGS data
    • Proficiency with a high level scripting language (e.g. Python, R)
