Job Description
As a member of the marketing organization, the MARKETING ANALYTICS MANAGER, PRIMARY CARE will support comprehensive analysis of the Primary Care market as it relates to Guardant Health’s LUNAR-2 pipeline product for early detection of cancer. In particular, the individual will spearhead primary market research (qualitative & quantitative), competitive intelligence, demand forecasting and analysis of internal and external data to understand Primary Care Physicians and patients. The role will sit within the Marketing & Sales Analytics team, and be dedicated to support LUNAR-2 commercial team, including marketing, sales, product and finance .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own primary market research projects with Primary Care Physicians and patients, that will help the team with opportunity assessment, buying journeys, demand estimation, positioning & messaging.
- Use primary and secondary data sources to support business case development, market sizing, segmentation & targeting, and demand forecasting.
- Develop syntheses and track the commercial success of early detection competitors.
- As needed, provide operational analyses to support launch planning and in-line analysis of customer uptake, ordering behavior, and share analyses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative primary market research projects, including opportunity assessment, conjoint analysis, and patient research.
- Experience with diagnostic, vaccines, medical supply or pharma/biotech analytics, including working with large secondary data sets (e.g., claims data) for customer segmentation and/or salesforce sizing, along with epidemiological and publicly-available competitor data to size market and develop forecasts.
- Previous experience in either management consulting applied to pharma or biotech, or direct experience in the industry in an analytical role (e.g., Marketing Science & Forecasting, Sales Operations & Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics) highly desirable.
- Prior experience with Primary Care Physicians is highly desired.
- Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with 4-6 years of relevant experience
