Job Description
This internship has two areas of focus:
1. New Product Introductions (80%). You will lead a project evaluating new product introduction (NPI) opportunities for Guardant’s biopharma business. This will require mapping the universe of potential NPIs, evaluating and prioritizing each on different dimensions, including technical feasibility, market opportunity, alignment with current product offering and positioning within the competitive landscape. You will work closely with customers, key opinion leaders, the Guardant biopharma business development, clinical development and technology development teams over the course of the project.
2. BioPharma Business Development (20%). You will spend a day a 20% of your time supporting biopharma business development on the West Coast. This will include lead generation, customer engagement, collaboration scoping and contracting, with the goal of providing experience of the business development process.
Qualifications
You are passionate about improving cancer patients’ lives and outcomes.
You are a healthcare-focused MBA student with a strong, ideally scientific, academic track record. Your pre-MBA employment experience might have been in the healthcare industry, consulting or banking, and equipped you with the skill set to lead the above project.
You are a strong problem solver, with an ability to disaggregate issues, structure hypotheses, generate data and synthesize results for communication with senior executives. You are both scientifically and business literate ideally with experience in conducting market research and literature reviews. You are excited to apply your experience to the field of cancer biomarkers and diagnostics.
You work independently and are self-starting while also being collaborative.
