    Job Description

    Following the successful set-up of an enterprise-wide approach to data, and rapid growth in strategic partnerships with biopharma companies and leading research institutes, Guardant is looking for key emerging talent in the field of RWD innovation to develop and drive the value of real world data applications.

    The purpose of the role is to leverage Guardant resources to establish a portfolio of high-impact RWD applications with leading life sciences institutions and ventures. An important measure of success will be the impact on Guardant’s positioning within the data space, impact on business growth and contribution to Guardant’s broader enterprise initiatives to conquer cancer with data.

    Reporting to the VP of Data & Diagnostics, the individual will be accountable for leveraging Guardant’s database and life science resources to achieve a strategic uplift in the functionality and applications of our database, in a way that supports growth in revenues and IP.

    We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the ability to work with novel and proprietary datasets to discover new biological stratifiers or predictors of outcome, as well as help to accelerate clinical development and patient access to precision medicine.

    The individual will work across an organizational matrix with leadership in real world evidence, analytics & AI, biopharma business development, global scientific affairs, software & digital infrastructure, global clinical commercial and product development, and external clinical and research partners in US, EU and AMEA.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Driven by patient impact and track record at being able to deliver it
    • Track record in the development and commercialization of novel and high-value applications of real world data in the life sciences industry
    • Minimum of 5-years experience and demonstrated expertise in translating data into high-impact insight with high quality methodology
    • 5-years experience at working with real-world databases, and not just real world studies and clinical trials
    • Evidence of track record in developing high-value research outputs working with scientists from pharma and academic institutions
    • Familiar with applications of AI to RWD
    • Strong understanding of oncology, the life sciences industry, translational medicine and discovery
    • High quality publications and a good working knowledge about how to increase the conversion of databases into published studies
    • Strong understanding of electronic medical records and other sources of clinical information

    Additional Information

    ** Hybrid Work Model** : At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

    For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $216,000 to $292,000. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

    Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

    Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
