    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Knowledge Management Lawyer & Research Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the creation, organization and delivery of knowhow for the Madrid office, helping attorneys to work at the highest level and to avoid situations where they are “re-inventing the wheel”.  You will also be responsible for conducting domestic and international legal and non-legal research.  Key responsibilities include:

    • Supporting the delivery of a broad portfolio of knowledge services including the creation of standard forms, practice notes and other substantive knowledge assets and the collation and organization of precedent.
    • Supporting the Madrid office attorney-training programme, assisting with the provision of substantive training to the team’s associates and trainees and promoting awareness of knowledge management and research resources, both internally and externally.
    • Coordinating and monitoring projects under the firm’s KM Initiative, working with the attorneys to bring these to fruition and to ensure they meet the team’s strategic objectives.
    • Monitoring current legal, regulatory and market developments and informing attorneys and staff of important changes and events through emails, bulletins, training or other appropriate means.
    • Assisting attorneys in the selection of preferred documents for each transaction and identifying precedents for future use.
    • Conducting complex domestic and international legal and non-legal research utilizing appropriate electronic and print research tools and directing attorney and staff to appropriate resources.

     

    ABOUT YOU

    We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Are an Attorney qualified to practise Spanish Law
    • Have excellent spoken and written English
    • Are highly organised with meticulous attention to detail

      And have:

    • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ post qualification experience as a practicing lawyer in a leading international or national law firm.
    • Extensive substantive experience in M&A and Private Equity transactions, but experience of capital markets and finance transitions would also be beneficial.
    • Advanced research skills and extensive experience using legal and corporate transactional tools such as Aranzadi, Debtwire, Mergermarket and print resources.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
