This includes a shift to remote working for the majority of our lawyers and staff.  The Business Development Analyst – Global Finance Department will likely start remotely while the firm continues to evaluate the situation. The Business Development Analyst – Global Finance Department will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. The Business Development Analyst – Global Finance Department will work in close collaboration with the Global Finance Business Development team, key market leaders and colleagues across the Business Development Department to support the Finance Department’s overall marketing and business development goals. The Analyst will team with BD colleagues, attorneys and various departments across the firm to execute on the following responsibilities: PRACTICE, MARKET AND CLIENT DEVELOPMENT

    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media.
    • Provide research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships.

    STRATEGIC PLANNING

    • Support the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned.
    • Aid in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams.
    • Coordinate the research of markets, competition, and conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy.

    MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND CLIENT PROGRAMS

    • Collaborate with lawyers and BD and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars and other visibility initiatives.
    • Develop internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergies.
    • Assist with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and web site content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists.
    • Project manage and draft submissions for legal directories and related industry guides.

    SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

    • High degree of discretion and independent judgment.
    • Ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively.
    • Exceptional oral/written communication and professional interpersonal skills.
    • Well-developed analytical and research skills.
    • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office skills.
    • Positive, high-energy attitude and willingness to collaborate generously.
    • A passion for learning and a desire for excellence and continuous improvement.

      Occasional travel may be required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience within a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
