    ABOUT THE ROLE As a Business Development Manager – Corporate, you will be responsible for supporting the market’s growth strategy and commitment to client service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a knowledge of the market and competitive landscape and utilize their business development and marketing expertise, along with knowledge of professional services, to deploy the full range of services required to support the market’s business development and marketing goals. Other key responsibilities include:

     

    Practice, Market and Client Development

    • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the lawyers and clients in New York in order to drive strategic priorities, including client engagement and relationship building
    • Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
    • Playing an active role in the integration of lateral partners and the development of junior partners
    • Leveraging and promoting the Firm’s alumni network to drive revenue
    • Developing and driving strategies and programming for the Firm’s Women Enriching Business program

     

    Strategic Planning

    • Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned
    • Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
    • Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and client targets conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy

     

    Marketing Communications and Client Programs

    • Collaborating with lawyers, BD, and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, seminars and sponsorships, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
    • Developing internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergies
    • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and website content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists
    • Project manage and draft submissions for legal directories and related industry guides

     

    ABOUT YOU We’d love to hear from you if you:

     

    • Demonstrate the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
    • Possess superior oral/written communication and professional interpersonal skills
    • Display well-developed analytical and research skills

     

    And have:

     

    • A Bachelor’s degree
    • A minimum of seven (7) years of business development experience
    • Previous legal industry experience and knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions or Capital Markets

     

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
