    The Global Partner Integration Manager will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.     As a Global Partner Integration Manager at Latham, you will oversee initiatives and programs focused on supporting partners promoted from the associate or counsel programs during the two years following promotion (“internally promoted partners”), both on a cohort and an individual level. The Manager will work with a broad range of constituencies to ensure that each internally promoted partner receives the resources and support needed to make a smooth and successful transition into the partnership. Working collaboratively with the Income Partner and Counsel Committee (“IPAC”), the Associates Committee, the Training and Career Enhancement Committee (“TACE”), the Business Development department, and other business services departments, the Manager will build on existing programs and develop new, enduring initiatives to support internally promoted partners in their transition into the partnership and foster the development of the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed for long-term success as a partner within the Firm. The Manager will also serve as a resource and point-of-contact for members of the office, department and practice group leadership regarding best practices for supporting internally promoted partners at the office, and department and practice group levels. Finally, the Manager will be a resource and trusted advisor for each internally promoted partner to help ensure that each is aware of, and connected with, the applicable resources across the Firm that are available to support their integration into the partnership. The responsibilities of the Manager will include:

     

    • Under the leadership of the Partner Integration Administrator, collaborating with colleagues across the Firm to expand and execute on the Firm’s strategy for supporting internally promoted partners, identifying opportunities to refine existing practice, and enhancing support for internally promoted partners, both on a cohort and an individual level.
    • Researching and developing best practices for supporting internally promoted partners through consultation with Latham partners and staff, and researching regarding market practices.
    • Working closely with the Business Development department, the Attorney Development department, and other business services departments to support and augment initiatives to facilitate the integration of internally promoted partners into the partnership.
    • Collaborating with a number of Firm committees, including the Associates Committee, the Diversity Leadership Committee, IPAC, Mentoring, TACE, and Women Enriching Business to share best practices, build on existing initiatives, and ensure that applicable programs and operations are aligned and coordinated.
    • Working closely with all administrative teams involved in supporting internally promoted partners (Business Development, Attorney Development, Finance, Global Tax, Global Benefits & Well-Being, Retirement Administration, Human Resources, office administrative leadership, and others) to ensure that strategy is aligned and resources are deployed to assist internally promoted partners in a coordinated manner such that efforts are not duplicative.
    • Conducting regular check-ins with each internally promoted partner.
    • Collaborating with office, department, and practice group leadership to implement initiatives aimed at supporting internally promoted partners.
    • Completing special projects as needed.
    • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers.

     

    As a Manager, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Manager must have extensive knowledge—or the ability to quickly develop such knowledge—of Firm personnel, procedures, policies, and practices. The ideal candidate will have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, the ability to interact effectively and build relationships and trust with attorneys and staff at all organizational levels, along with superior communication skills, both written and verbal. The Manager will have a non-hierarchical approach, the flexibility and ability to build consensus, and strong integrity, judgment, discretion, and maturity in dealing with people and confidential information. The Manager will have a collaborative work style that is consistent with the culture of the Firm, excellent leadership skills and project management skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

     

    A bachelor’s degree is required, and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field is desired. Experience with building, implementing, and administering talent development or similar programs is desired. Travel is required.
