    Globe Life Insurance Company is looking for an Experienced Human Resources Generalist to join their team in the Human Resources department for our location in Oklahoma City.     The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for employee relations, leave of absence, worker’s compensation, OHSA regulations, training and development, and work with all levels of management at the production facility regarding any HR issues/questions. The position will also be responsible to participate in and lead strategic human resources project initiatives such as on-site activities and events.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Advise and assist management and employees regarding HR policies and procedures to ensure fair equitable treatment and resolution of employee issues and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
    • Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
    • Counsel department management on corrective action and/or performance improvement plan action for employees. Review and approve any actions launched.
    • Participate in unemployment hearings when necessary.
    • Manage Worker’s Compensation, OTJ (on-the job) injury claims and reporting to carrier, as well as Leave of Absence forms.
    • Maintains OSHA documentation.
    • Help facilitate safety/security in conjunction with facility Director (includes keeping the division’s required OSHA training database current; annual Shelter in Place and Fire Drills)
    • Assist where needed with Forklift Certification/Re-certifications.
    • Completion of Personnel forms necessary to make changes to the Company’s HRIS system and send for processing.
    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
    • Coordinate a variety of campaigns and special promotions throughout the year to enhance employee morale and that will positively impact the organization.
    • Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
    • Continually develop knowledge and skills by attending seminars, training sessions and other means to expand expertise.
    • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
    • Staffing – Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner:
      • Develops recruitment strategies to proactively source and recruit the right talent.
      • Develops and coordinates internal and external job postings.
      • Works closely with the Hiring Manager and Manager-HRBP’s, to assist in writing and developing job descriptions and identifying competencies as needed.

    Assists new hires with completing Onboarding items necessary for first day start (i.e. I-9 documentation, direct deposit uploads)

    • Proficient PC skills required.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
    • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a generalist role.
    • Experience in employee relations counseling and conducting exit interviews.
    • Experience with OSHA laws, Worker’s Compensation and Leave of Absence including FMLA.
    • Bilingual in both English and Vietnamese preferred.
