As one of the lead architects in the ongoing development and operation of Latham’s MarTech platform, the Business Development Senior Manager – Marketing Technology will oversee and administer all current and future MarTech solutions and play a leadership role in the design, build, integration, and promotion of future MarTech systems and processes.  The Senior Manager will help to develop, promote, and deliver an enterprise-wide and evergreen program for the adoption, continual learning, and behavior change required to optimize the efficacy of the firm’s MarTech platform.  The Senior Manager will also develop and align the required talent support model for all MarTech systems and processes.  Additional responsibilities:  

    Identify and implement new systems to:

    • Create the foundation for a master data management strategy to enable more efficient and effective data capture, integration, access and analytics;
    • Implement solutions that manage the work flow processes and content used for pitches, RFPs, firm experience, and lawyer biographies;
    • Enable the firm to use business intelligence more effectively to leverage existing client relationships and experience to protect, sustain and grow its business;
    • Implement a more efficient and robust set of processes to support global client marketing and events

    Oversee the configuration, deployment, operation, and promotion of the new/revised platform; supervising the professional staff who manage the current and future systems, including: Experience, CRM, and proposal generation systems

    Ensure MarTech systems consume, integrate with and/or share data with Latham’s other essential systems

    Applying change management best practices to help implement new solutions, processes, and applications

    In collaboration with Global Technology, participate in the research, analysis, and recommendation of new MarTech products and solutions, including self-service options for lawyers and staff

    Collaborate on the establishment of standard taxonomy for critical business concepts and a client data strategy in concert with the Chief Client Development Officer, the firm’s global Technology and Finance teams, as well as other administrative departments 

    Lead the exploration and potential creation of self-serve channels for lawyers or professional staff to extract marketing data including but not limited to biographical information, experience, expertise, and promotional/pitch information

    Ensure adherence to professional ethics rules, data privacy, and protection rules, and other applicable regulations within the firm’s MarTech stack

    As the Business Development Senior Manager – Marketing Technology, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude.  The successful Senior Manager must be a master relationship builder with experience creating and cultivating trust and confidence with key stakeholders, including Business Development, Technology, Partners, and firm leadership.  The ideal candidate must be able to extract and demonstrate value and opportunities in addition to reporting on metrics and data streams, as well as comfortable working collaboratively while taking initiative and discovering new ways to add and extend value to all stakeholders.  The Manager must display proven change management experience with a focus on business process redesign as well as technology deployment. A Bachelor’s degree is required, as well as a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in a legal and/or professional services environment with a focus on implementing/operating marketing technology tools and leading the relevant teams.  Fluency in client data technologies, stack integration, marketing automation, and marketing/business development services within a legal services environment is desired, as well as experience with launching, promoting, and maintaining enterprise-wide marketing solutions.
