    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Trademark Services Coordinator you will be responsible for administering the daily operations of the IP Records and IP Docketing Departments, such as maintaining complete accuracy of the IP docketing database ( PATTSY) and IP Records functions. Other key responsibilities include:

    • Performing all IP docketing functions, including reviewing and processing incoming trademark mail for trademark prosecution, entering necessary dates/deadlines into the docketing system, ensuring accurate and timely entry of relevant information for all Intellectual Property matters including Trademarks, Copyrights, Domain Names, Opposition/Cancellation actions, and any diligence, including foreign and U.S. records, and generating reports involving cumulative case status, due dates, cost estimates, and trademark lists
    • Developing plans, coordinating docketing work flow, performing accounting functions such as preparing foreign associate invoices for payment, organizing files, mentoring entry-level staff, and assuming responsibility for the completion of major projects
    • Assisting other docket specialists in confirming deadline calculation and docketing accuracy
    • Troubleshooting errors and providing related training to prevent future issues
    • Providing docket database training and facilitating docketing interactions of other team members within the trademark department

     

    ABOUT YOU

    We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Possess strong knowledge of trademark docketing systems for U.S. and foreign jurisdictions (preferably PATTSY)
    • Have thorough knowledge of procedures and all phases of both the U.S. and foreign trademark lifecycles
    • Possess strong organizational skills with an attention to detail

     

    And have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree
    • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
    • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant law firm experience
