Bookkeeper - Part-Time We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to maintain various bank accounts and accounting records for two well-established companies in the Southeast area of Houston. You will be working in a mansion like office setting at a law firm that values work-life balance. * Temp-to-Hire * Part-time: 5 half days or 3 full days (20 hrs) * Location: Southeast, Tx * Pay : $22/hr * Beautiful Office Space Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper: * Maintain various bank accounts. * Maintain accounting records for two companies. * Online Banking and attention to cash level balances * Entering Bills; many now paid online & auto pay & checks. * Monthly journal entries and entering credit card details. * Monthly reconciliations Banks and various G/L accounts. * Maintain Client Cost Expense (A/R) Ledger * Disbursements and Settlements preparation and payouts. * Maintain various Insurances, Property Taxes and Franchise Tax * Monitor Debts and Loans * Weekly Reports; Fee, Cash Flows, Financial Activity & A/R Aging * Monthly Reports; Fee, SOL, Active Case, URC and Trust Funds. * Monthly Financials; Balance Sheet + Income * Quarterly Reports; Write-Offs. Financials Send to CPA for tax estimates &to Banks for loan compliance. * Year-End; Prepare 1099-Misc & 1099-NEC, Various Year End Reconciliations, CPA Schedules and Financials sent to CPA and Bank. Requirements for the Bookkeeper: * HS Diploma or GED required * Strong Data Entry skills required * Familiarity with Plaintiff Software required (Possibility of switching to QuickBooks) * Software Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook & Emails.
