  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic personal injury legal team. This role is essential to the success of our litigation practice, supporting complex personal injury cases from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of litigation procedures. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, and external parties to ensure cases are managed efficiently and effectively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Case Management: Organize and maintain all case-related documents and correspondence for 15-30 litigation cases in various stages. Ensure timely responses to communications from clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

    Medical Records Coordination: Request, review, and summarize medical records. Maintain organized files to support litigation strategy and trial preparation.

    Client Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients. Provide regular updates, explain legal processes, and gather necessary information for discovery and case development.

    Court Filings & Service of Process: Prepare and file legal documents in state, federal, trial, and appellate courts. Coordinate service of process in compliance with applicable rules.

    Deadline Tracking: Monitor and manage all litigation deadlines, including discovery, depositions, expert disclosures, hearings, mediations, and trial dates.

    Discovery Support: Draft and respond to discovery requests. Organize and analyze discovery materials to support case strategy.

    File Review & Maintenance: Conduct regular audits of case files to ensure completeness and accuracy. Identify and resolve any documentation gaps.

    Technology Utilization: Use legal software and systems to streamline case management, track deadlines, and enhance team collaboration.

    General Support: Provide additional litigation support as needed to ensure smooth case progression and attorney preparedness.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury, medical malpractice, or complex civil litigation.

    Paralegal certification or equivalent professional credential strongly preferred.

    Deep understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and discovery processes.
