As a Global Benefits Generalist at Latham, you will be responsible for assisting the administration of existing firm benefit policies. The Benefits Generalist supports the department and the local offices by ensuring that staff and attorneys have access to a centralized resource and uses his/her knowledge of the firm’s benefits programs to answer questions, facilitate enrollments, and monitor life style event changes for benefits purposes. He or she also will develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and vendors at the firm while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
As a Global Benefits Generalist, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Global Benefits Generalist must have knowledge of benefit practices and comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions of health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendors. Well developed and professional interpersonal skills are desired with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm. The Generalist must display the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion. Knowledge and proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems, preferably PeopleSoft, is desired. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
