    JOB DUTIES:

    • Following engineering drawings and specifications to produce high quality parts for cutting edge snow removal equipment
    • Operating a variety of fabrication equipment, including but not limited to laser cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, press brakes, plate rolls, saws, drills and sheers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred, but not required.
    • Must be able to read blueprints.
    • Must be able to use measuring tools and devices.
    • High school diploma or GED required.

    SHIFT OPTIONS:

    At BOSS, making the highest quality snow removal products never stops. This position has a variety of different working schedules to fit your lifestyle. Please consider which shifts of the following you would be interested in working:

    • A Shift: 5 am to 3 pm; Monday - Thursday
    • B Shift: 3 pm to 1 am; Monday - Thursday
    • C Shift: 5 am to 5 pm; Friday - Sunday
    • D Shift: 5 pm to 5 am; Friday - Sunday

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security clearance and be capable of obtaining a Common Access Card

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Minimum of eight (8) years of general hands-on Mechanical experience with US Navy HM&E equipment, including two (2) years on LCS HM&E equipment.

    Ability to pass PQS 301 Craftsmen qualifications

    Looking for multiple candidates with expertise in the areas of:

    • Parasense Model 3300RM2 Refrigerant Leak Monitoring System
    • Valves and Valve Operators
    • Motor Operated Valves
    • Air Conditioning Units, Self-Contained 
    • Ship Service Refrigeration Plant R-404a 
    • Manual Operated Valves (LCS Class)
    • Auxiliary Sea Water Systems (LCS CLASS)
    • Medium-Pressure Air Compressor (SAUER) 
    • Systems covered in previous column

    Candidate shall be proficient using general and special purpose tools and test equipment to perform organizational level maintenance.

    Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy preventive maintenance program.

    Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment.

    Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

    PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • U.S. Navy technician skills and training
    • U.S. Navy LSC Class mechanical shipboard experience
