    Offit Kurman is seeking to hire an Administrative Paralegal for our New York City office. Ideal candidates will have extensive administrative experience and possess 3 or more years of experience working as a litigation paralegal. The administrative paralegal will be providing general administrative support as well as assist during all phases of the litigation process.

    Candidates must have law firm experience and be technology proficient (advanced Word, Excel and Outlook) with strong attention to detail and ability to turn work around in an efficient manner with minimal errors, experience with maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings and travel, strong communication skills and ability to manage the attorney assignment with a proactive approach balancing the needs of all.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage calendars, organize and schedule external and internal meetings, teleconferences, networking events, travel, etc., maintain diary for court dates and follow-up.
    • Track Expense reports.
    • Drafting discovery and miscellaneous documents such as pleadings, responses, motions, briefs, deposition digests and case summaries.
    • Organizes and maintains physical and electronic files.
    • Performs a variety of document productions tasks, including bates-stamping, redaction, duplicating, and indexing.
    • Prepares and submits ECF filings with Federal and state courts.
    • Regularly interacts with both internal and external clients and officials.
    • Prepares for and attends, as necessary, depositions and trials.
    • Performs a variety of research projects as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal. Knowledge of litigation documents, e-filing, court rules and procedures.
    • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices.
    • Proactive work style and analytical skills: able to read, review, verify and route correspondence, reports and legal documents.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent client service skills with proven record of building effective relationships with both internal and external clients.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2017 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet research skills, document management systems, attorney time entry software.
