    Offit Kurman is seeking an Administrative Paralegal to join its Wilmington office supporting attorneys in the Real Estate and Corporate practice groups. Ideal candidates will have extensive administrative experience and possess 3 or more years of experience working as a Real Estate paralegal.

    Candidates must have law firm experience and be technology proficient (advanced Word, Excel and Outlook) with strong attention to detail and ability to turn work around in an efficient manner with minimal errors, experience with maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings and travel, strong communication skills and ability to manage the attorney assignment with a proactive approach balancing the needs of all.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare, review and organize closing documents, indexes, contact lists, binders, checklists and title commitments, including requirements and exception documents.
    • Review, draft and/or edit lease documents, SNDAs, estoppels, operating agreements, sales and purchase agreements, settlement statements, and various other closing documents.
    • Coordinate the issuance of title policies with title insurance companies and gather required documentation from appropriate zoning authorities, surveyors, lenders, engineers, architects, borrowers and property owners as required.
    • Organize and maintain filing and retrieval systems.
    • Manage calendars, organize and schedule external and internal meetings, teleconferences, networking events, etc., maintain diary for court dates and follow-up.
    • Open, maintain and close client files.
    • Handle extensive client contact, both via phone, email, and in-person.
    • Prepare a variety of transactional and corporate governance documents.
    • Track Expense reports.
    • Organize attorney travel.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven working experience as a real estate paralegal. Knowledge of real estate closing software, including SoftPro.
    • Experience in residential or commercial real estate Transactions.
    • Familiarity with land use and zoning applications to the Planning Boards.
    • Familiarity with Mortgages, Promissory Notes and various other Lender financing documents.
    • Proactive work style and analytical skills: able to read, research, review, verify and route correspondence, reports and legal documents.
    • Strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when formatting documents, inputting data, editing, copying, scanning and transmitting text, data and graphics.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and spelling.
    • Ability to research corporate and real estate information through appropriate government entities.
    • Excellent client service skills with proven record of building effective relationships with both internal and external clients.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2017 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet research skills, document management systems, attorney time entry software.
