Offit Kurman, a quickly growing full-service law firm, seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Columbia, MD office. The AR Specialist will support the firm and be responsible for collecting aged receivables and other accounting tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make daily collection calls, business to business and business to individual client accounts.
• Draft and send collection letters to clients.
• Monitor and report statuses on specific aged accounts receivables to manager.
• Work closely with billing team members in the accounting department.
• Work directly with attorneys as necessary on collection matters.
• Work closely with accounting clerk to help resolve unapplied monies on client accounts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years accounts receivable and collections experience.
• Ability to organize time, prioritize workload and handle a high volume of client receivable accounts.
• Positive and proactive attitude with strong organization skills.
• Strong communications skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting/billing software and ability to learn multiple different systems.
