Paralegals in our Employment Wage & Hour Class Action department provide litigation support to our attorneys and partners. This role manages a high volume of cases and requires the ability to be resourceful and multi-task with a high attention to detail. Experience at an employment law firm highly desirable. This position can be based in Oakland, Downtown Los Angeles, or Irvine.
The Opportunity:
Requirements: __
3+ years of Paralegal experience in Labor and Employment and Wage & Hour.
Well versed in e-filing in State, Federal courts (Appellate a plus), and administrative agencies.
Experience propounding/responding to discovery, calendaring hearings and court deadlines, and assisting with mediation/arbitration/trial preparation.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels across the Firm.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while providing leadership and guidance to paralegals, legal assistants and clerks.
Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
Proficient in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw or similar platforms.
Experience using Litify or similar case/document management systems.
Spanish fluency and proficiency with Microsoft 365 strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree a plus.
