Latham & Watkins, a global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a Pricing & Profitability Intern to join our dynamic team in our Global Services office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an intern in the Pricing & Profitability team, you will work side-by-side with members of the team and perform the critical functions that drive strategic and profitable growth for the firm. As an intern, you will be trained on the financial concepts and analyses that determine how business decisions are made in a world-class professional services organization. In addition to a first-hand view into the pricing tactics and strategy utilized for client pursuit, you will also participate in developing strategic solutions for key pricing challenges.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and tracking daily pricing proposals and capturing critical qualitative and quantitative information for entry into an internal database

• Updating and maintaining the Firm’s client agreement database, reviewing rate agreements and contracts for key clients, and summarizing engagement terms

• Supporting day-to-day pricing team functions such as rate lookup, financial modelling, and profitability analysis

• Participating in ongoing skill building programs including Excel, Modelling, Business Objects, and more!

• Assisting the team on specific internal/external pricing projects and initiatives

• Meeting regularly with your assigned mentor and Career Services Coach.

• Participating in regular feedback and goal setting conversations

ABOUT YOU

We would love to hear from you if you are optimistic, adaptable, naturally ambitious, focused on learning, and highly motivated; and you can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric mind-set.

Applicants are graduating juniors/seniors currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program, preferably pursuing a degree in either business, economics, finance, or political science.
