    JOB SUMMARY

     

    The MSP Cargo Mail Agent (Part Time) position is responsible for safely and efficiently routing, loading, and unloading of inbound and outbound air freight and mail shipments.

     

    *This position is part-time with variable hours. Hours scheduled may be between 5 – 30 hours per week, depending on business needs.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Loads/unloads freight, packages, mail and cargo to/from aircrafts
    • Operate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment
    • Process orders from customers and arranges for pickup of freight, mail, and cargo
    • Prepare and examine bills of lading and weigh items to determine shipping charges and prepare freight bills
    • Collect and process payments in an efficient and accurate manner
    • Communicate with vendors and/or claims adjustment department to resolve problems
    • Communicate with customers in the event delays occur
    • Prepare manifest to accompany shipments and maintains records of goods shipped, received and stored
    • Read and verify cargo and mail shipment to ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure cargo/mail areas are safe and free of Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) and that all service equipment is properly maintained
    • Follow safety regulations, which include the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety items
    • Any other duties assigned by management

    ADDITIONAL NOTES:

    Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge and Customs Seal.

    Must be able to clear a USPS Background Check.
