  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking an in-office Senior Litigation Paralegal to own core litigation support functions from case initiation through deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive paralegal with strong Texas civil litigation experience who can manage deadlines, filings, scheduling, client communication, and case logistics with accuracy, independence, and professionalism. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. This role is not eligible for remote work. Compensation: $65,000–$85,000, depending on experience. Opportunity for performance-based bonus compensation. Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities • Manage court filings, e-filing, e-service, incoming e-filings, emailed documents, and the litigation filings inbox. • Draft letters, notices, initial disclosures, deposition requests, Chapter 74 notice letters, and related litigation documents. • Coordinate service of process and initial litigation tasks, including ASOs and related deadlines. • Schedule depositions by coordinating with opposing counsel, witnesses, attorneys, court reporters, videographers, locations, and Zoom logistics. • Maintain case calendars, settings, ASO deadlines, case data in Filevine, and paid-vs.-incurred charts. • Prepare notebooks and materials for experts, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. • Coordinate scheduling with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and attorneys. • Conduct background research on clients, experts, and witnesses; arrange travel as needed; and respond to ad hoc client questions and requests. • Draft pleadings and discovery requests, respond to discovery, and assist with trial preparation. Backup Responsibilities • Support expert-related administration, including payments, CVs, fee schedules, and litigation-phase expert management. • Assist with drafting motions, pleadings, petitions, family agreements, discovery, and other legal documents. • Help process client expenses and refunds, monitor incoming faxes, provide client status updates, and support medical records organization and management for litigation cases. • Identify liens, assist with negotiation and resolution, and help facilitate minor settlement resolution, including prove-ups, ad litem matters, trusts, and related requirements. • Provide office support as needed, including outgoing mail and printer management. Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in plaintiff-side medical malpractice and/or personal injury litigation. • Strong command of Texas civil procedure and local court rules. • Proficiency with Filevine, Lead Docket, Office 365, or similar tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines. • Leadership mindset with mentoring experience. Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE
