As an Enterprise Applications Engineer at Latham, you will be responsible for research, development, implementation, and maintenance of global software solutions. The Engineer will work independently and lead large scale projects. Additionally, you will find new and innovative solutions for existing challenges and current platforms. This includes but is not limited to these and other critical functions:

    • Leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement and support the firm’s enterprise applications, acting as a “Subject Matter Expert” regarding these solutions.
    • Liaising with leaders of other business units (e.g. Security, Data Governance, Records Management, Privacy) to ensure that their needs are understood and met.
    • Utilizing his/her technical creativity to identify and implement additional enhancements and new software solutions.
    • Providing expertise on various topics as an upper-level resource.
    • Assisting and mentoring other team members.
    • Producing training materials and delivering training to regional trainers, the Global Technology Support Center, and to end-users regarding specialized applications.
    • Coordinating with other areas/departments where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs.
    • Managing and completing additional projects on various issues when needed.
    • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers.

    As an Enterprise Applications Engineer, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Enterprise Applications Engineer must have knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), as well as knowledge and proficiency with administration and maintenance of relational databases used by supported applications. The Engineer must also display strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and quality assurance processes, along with the ability to use independent judgment and discretion when making majority of decisions with regards to implementing Enterprise technology projects. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or appropriate work experience is required. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a PC hardware/software support role is required. A minimum of eight (8) years related experience supporting back-end database or multi-user software applications is desired. Experience with enterprise class software installations and upgrades, training and technical documentation is desired. Experience leading project teams to implement complex software solutions is desired. Experience supporting a large, multi-office environment is desired.
