The successful candidate will assure the effective implementation of the 7-year GEAR UP Iowa grant project activities with 12 partner districts and more than 30 colleges and community partners across the state. Serve as project coordinator for the GEAR UP Iowa project, working with all school, college and community program partners and coordinating internal work activities that directly affect program operations. This includes: * Overseeing the development and implementation of district/school implementation plans, ensuring that all activities are in alignment with the GEAR UP Iowa framework, annual work plan and in compliance with all federal grant guidelines; * Coordinating workflow and assignments of GEAR UP Iowa Facilitators and support them in relationship management with districts and community partners; * Assuring the collection of project evaluation data and monitor program implementation according to data, identifying changing needs. Secure and maintain data sharing agreements with other student data partners; * Organizing professional development workshops and trainings for partner districts and GEAR UP staff, assessing individual and school/district-specific needs and aligning training accordingly; * Supporting GEAR UP outreach and communications efforts, overseeing the implementation of the GEAR UP Iowa communications strategy; * Coordinating and maintaining partnerships to enhance community support; * Making presentations concerning GEAR UP activities and innovative practices at GEAR UP conferences, state, regional and local working group meetings; * Candidate will be serving as an information resource for administrators, colleges, staff, community members and partners. Candidate will develop strong partnerships with colleges, universities, community organizations and others to support the implementation of the GEAR UP Iowa project and to ensure dollar-for-dollar match as required by the grant. Development and implementation of partnership strategy that ensures follow-up, sustained engagement and necessary documentation. Ensure in-kind match forms are completed by each partner. Develop meeting schedule and agendas for the GEAR UP Advisory Council and any associated teams/groups. Conduct research and develop strategies and plans for future project implementation in subsequent years, including modifications to the GEAR UP Iowa framework and year 7 planning. Leverage partnerships to develop innovative, cost-effective and scalable activities and strategies to fulfill GEAR UP objectives and meet school/district needs. Assist with compliance of fiscal management of funds and assure documentation of actual expenditures according to implementation plans. Prepare budgets, analyze and report on expenses, and cost control for the GEAR UP Iowa project. Prepare annual performance reports, as required. Assist Division Administrator in the implementation of community engagement strategies in GEAR UP Iowa communities, including Local College Access Networks and 3-Step Process. Support agency strategic planning efforts.
