Wilson Elser’s Houston office currently seeks a Legal Nurse Consultant.

THE POSITION Qualifications ·Legal Nurse Consultant certification (LNCC via the AALNC preferred) ·Exceptional written and oral communication skills ·Demonstrated proficiency in medical and damages analyses ·Strong attention to detail ·Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously ·Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite platforms Responsibilities ·Identify, organize and analyze pertinent medical records ·Prepare a chronology, timeline or other comprehensive summaries of documentation in medical records ·Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review ·Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses ·Conduct medical literature searches and assist in other research ·Work with attorneys to evaluate case strengths and weaknesses ·Evaluate causation and damages issues ·Educate attorneys and clients regarding relevant medical issues ·Locate or prepare demonstrative evidence for trial ·Assist with preparation for and support during deposition, trial or ADR
