Framatome is seeking an Electrician Journeyperson in Richland, WA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• The Electrician Journeyperson will perform all phases of skilled maintenance technician work, including:
  • repair, installation, modification, routine inspection, replacement and testing of standard and special electrical equipment within the plant.
  • examine equipment to diagnose trouble and affect repairs or placement of broken parts and adjust functional parts of equipment.
  • work from engineering drawings or rough sketches in performing occasional fabrication work.
• The incumbent must adhere to established industry and safety practices. Inspect completed work and ensure that work conforms to requirements of local building and safety codes.
• This position is part of the Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be part of the Tri-Cities Crafts Association (TCCA). As the employee with the lowest seniority, there is a strong chance that there will a requirement to work on shift.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.  CANDIDATES WHO EXCEED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR A HIGHER LEVEL POSITION.

• Must have completed a state approved apprenticeship program.
• Five years of work experience in an industrial maintenance background.
• Washington state electrical license, or from a state with reciprocity, or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and remain in a standing position for extended periods.
• Good eyesight, manual dexterity and good physical condition.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION. 

• Experience working in radiologically controlled areas.
• HVAC experience, training, or certification.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience.
