Each athletic counselor is hired to teach a specific sport based on their experience and qualifications. Most have played at the high school and/or college level and many have previous coaching experience. Coaches will help boys ages 7 to 15 learn the basics of a specific sport.

In addition to teaching 3 to 4 classes a day, male counselors live in bunks with campers and female counselors serve as "bunk moms" to younger kids.

Coaches will teach campers the fundamentals of baseball. Additionally, they will coach games. We have two baseball fields for different age groups. Our smaller field gives younger campers the opportunity to learn the game on an appropriate sized field. Our high-school regulation field is perfect for our older boys.

• Prior baseball playing, or coaching experience.
• Childcare experience.

Camp Takajo is a premiere, traditional summer camp for boys. We offer a variety of activities in land sports, watersports, fine arts and outdoor education.
