Each athletic counselor is hired to teach a specific sport based on their experience and qualifications. Most have played at the high school and/or college level and many have previous coaching experience. Coaches will help boys ages 7 to 15 learn the basics of a specific sport.

In addition to teaching 3 to 4 classes a day, male counselors live in bunks with campers and female counselors serve as "bunk moms" to younger kids.

Our top-notch facilities include our Tak-a-Hole, a par 3 pitch, and a putting green where campers can work on their short game. We also have golf cages for practicing technique. We are so fortunate that we have access to two 18-hole courses minutes from camp. The Naples Golf Course and Point Sebago.

Camp Takajo is a premiere, traditional summer camp for boys. We offer a variety of activities in land sports, watersports, fine arts and outdoor education.
