    The OTR Inside Sales intern will be part of a sales team within our Over the Road (OTR) Inside Sales department during the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and this experience will help you grow both professionally and personally.

    Primary Functions:

    The OTR Inside Sales intern will work from one of our Sales Centers of Excellence (COEs) as part of the Inside Sales team to take part in activities such as: business development (prospecting, discovery & sales closure), lead generation, cross-selling and upselling in the transactional freight brokerage segment. The intern will cold call for leads and new business, negotiate with shippers and carriers and close sales of full truckload shipments with new transactional customers as well as spot market business with existing customers. Additionally, the intern will take part in sales training and carrier sales activities.

  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in business, sales, supply chain or a related field
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to interact with internal and external customers
    • A high level of interest in learning and desire for coaching
