    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The John Deere ergonomic assessment tools are relatively new. There is a desire to create more efficiency in completing assessments by non-professionals, including manufacturing engineers and safety professionals. Motion tracking sensors and video technology is changing rapidly and has potential for use in ergonomics assessments. The intern will be tasked with evaluating motion capture technology and developing ties to the John Deere Ergonomics Assessment tools in both real world applications and virtual reality environments.;

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • The candidate will have a strong understanding in ergonomics, occupational biomechanics, and motion capture systems.;

    DESIRED:

    • The candidate should have completed coursework in topics relevant to human body motion, motion tracking, process simulation, and biomechanics.;

    EDUCATION:

    • At least a Junior in a science based discipline; preferably in ergonomics, occupational biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or industrial engineering. Prefer graduate student for this position
