  • Responsibilities

    As a DRIVETRAIN PRODUCT VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION (PV&V) ENGINEER for John Deere Construction & Forestry in Dubuque, IA, you will be part of an overall team responsible for the verification and validation testing for drivetrain systems across multiple product lines. In addition, you will:

    • Work closely with cross functional teams to design, verify and validate drivetrain components and systems to customer requirements
    • Execute test and analysis plans for product verification and validation throughout all phases of projects
    • Partner with product development teams to identify creative and efficient solutions to resolve technical issues
    • Gain experience with Construction and Forestry equipment
    • Learn and apply Company engineering policies, standards and practices

  • Qualifications

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • Engineering experience obtained through projects, internships or practical work experience
    • Basic knowledge of mechanical system dynamics, especially as related to powertrain and drivetrain systems
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical data and project updates through written reports and meeting presentations
    • Experience working in a team environment

    WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

    • Design or application experience with drivetrain systems
    • Experience in test and evaluation
    • Advanced data analysis or computer programming experience
    • Effective time management skills demonstrated within a multi-functional team
    • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis tools
    • Advanced engineering degree

    EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE)

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
