    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    DUTIES:

    As a member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing process control strategies needed to ensure conformance of manufactured castings to product specifications for the John Deere Waterloo Foundry. This work includes:Process development and documentationData collection/data analysis to improve process or maintain process capabilityAssist with process improvement projectsAssist in identifying root cause for non-conforming product and implement corrective action;

    REQUIRED:

    • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or maintenance processes, quality, tooling, tooling design, and facilities.
    • Metal casting background, interest in design/modeling.
    • Interest in working in a Foundry.
    • Must attend a school affiliated with the Foundry Education Foundation.;

    DESIRED:

    • Skill in computer-aided design and/or engineering tools.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
    • Foundry classes;

    EDUCATION:

    • Currently pursuing a 4 year degree.
    • Preferably Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Management or Technology.
    • Metal casting background, interest in design/modeling Must attend a school affiliated with the Foundry Education Foundation.
