    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a GRADE CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER working for the Construction and Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA, you will write and manage both product (PRD) & software (SRD) requirements.  In addition, you will:

    • Deliver the architectural vision to machine platforms
    • Work through design execution details including PDM-Link & SAP
    • Coordinate integration of components onto machine platforms
    • Provide technical engineering support to product support
    • Actual or pseudo PDP Team Leader role for Grade Control projects
    • Machine and grade control system operation and development

  • Qualifications

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • 3 or more years of professional experience in electronic systems development
    • 3 or more years experience utilizing the Deere product development process
    • Strong technical skills in the areas of software development, hardware development, and electrical architecture development
    • Experience leading a multi-functional team
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work in a self-directed mode
    • Strong problem solving skills

    WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

    • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering
    • 5 or more years of professional engineering experience
    • Experience with off-road equipment electronic design, communication bus interfaces, electronic manufacturing and test processes, and electromagnetic compatibility
    • Experience with both electronic hardware and software
    • A background in construction or agricultural equipment operation

    EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE)

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or equivalent experience.
