    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As an ORDER FULFILLMENT PROCESS (OFP) SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, for the John Deere Construction & Forestry Division (Dubuque Works), you will be responsible for daily quality and delivery of purchased parts to production lines. In addition, you will:

    • Coordinate process improvement activities involving suppliers, design engineering, manufacturing, quality, product support, and other Supply Management personnel
    • Be responsible for inventory planning and improvement cost reduction projects and delivery/logistics issues
    • Collaborate with suppliers on Estimate to Cash (ETC) strategies that support order fulfillment objectives by participating in identification and implementation of optimal material replenishment strategies
    • Obtain supplier delivery data for current suppliers and communicate to our suppliers and plans established with underperforming suppliers for improvement

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • Supply management experience
    • SAP experience
    • Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes, product design, specifications, and tolerances
    • Contract analysis skills
    • Experience with analytical and problem-solving
    • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
    • Strong communication (verbal & written), business correspondence and documentation skills
    • Ability and willingness to travel, up to 10% (both domestic and internationally)

    WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

    Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

    • 3 or more years of Supply Management experience preferred
    • 3 or more years of SAP experience
    • Interpersonal, leadership and facilitation skills
    • Understanding of the Order Fulfillment Process
    • CPM or CPIM Certification considered a plus
    • Knowledge of unit processes and operations

    EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Supply Management or relevant discipline
