    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Summer 2019 Product Engineering Internship Program is for students enrolled in major fields of study that align with full-time employment opportunities at John Deere. Students may enter the program during undergraduate or graduate studies. The majority of our internship experiences are offered in the summer months, usually lasting 13 weeks.

    POTENTIAL DUTIES COULD INCLUDE

    • Evaluate and interpret applicable standards and regulations for marketing products.  Work with engineering to incorporate product requirements.  Develop a confirmation plan for validation.
    • Conduct product safety reviews both virtually and physically to evaluate risk.  Work with product teams on risk reduction options.
    • Create a safety and compliance plan for product development and execute against that plan.
    • Assure safety and compliance requirements for product development and followed and utilize existing tools and processes.

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing a Bachelors Degree or Senior pursuing a Masters Degree in Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
    • Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
