    Your Responsibilities

    The 2018 Summer Internship Program is for students enrolled in major fields of study that align with full-time employment opportunities at John Deere. Students may enter the program during undergraduate or graduate studies. The majority of our internship experiences are offered in the summer months, usually lasting 13 weeks.

    Potential duties could include:

    • Support risk evaluation, risk mitigation and process monitoring activities utilizing Data Analysis, Process monitoring, Process control, and Continuous Process Improvement.
    • Conduct quality planning activities
    • Quality control plan development and execution, conducting measurement system analysis, conducting process capability studies, implementing statistical process control (SPC), development and maintenance of process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), implementation of mistake proofing.
    • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
    • Determine quality improvement parameters
    • Maintain statistical process controls
    • Process capability analysis
    • Non-Conformance Corrective action using Root Cause Analysis

    What Skills You Need

    • Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing a Bachelors Degree or Senior pursuing a Masters Degree in Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.
    • Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Location, location, location! We have locations across the United States so you must be willing to relocate domestically.
    • Work Statement: US Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
