     JOB DESCRIPTION

    As an Employee Relations/Human Resources Generalist at Abstrakt Marketing Group, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks related to employee relations, investigations, and appropriate communications. The goal of the Employee Relations/HR Generalist is to ensure the needs of the business are properly aligned with Abstrakt’s goals and the needs of employees. This role provides tactical guidance, counseling and direction on performance management, employee and leadership development, HR policies, processes, and programs to both managers and employees.  He or she is also responsible for assisting in the development of talent initiatives and administration of employee development and training, including facilitation and delivery of development programs. 

    The ideal job candidate is an excellent communicator and natural leader. This individual will provide guidance and counsel for leaders in performance management and administration of on-going and annual performance management programs.  He or she will serve as a consultant to leaders on development of job descriptions, job matching, compensation decisions, and annual salary planning and bonus administration processes. This individual will embody the Abstrakt A-Player Values, ensuring compliance in all facets of Human Resources.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    •       Provide employee relations support and guidance through policy interpretation and objective assessments for internal consistency.

    •       Investigate and advise how to address employee relations issues, such as work complaints and other employee concerns.

    •       Provide leadership counsel and partnership on tactical organizational development, performance management, training, employee development, and engagement-related items.

    •       Assist managers with job description creation, job matching, and development of compensation data, including guidance on offer development.

    •       Create and facilitate employee and leadership development training, new employee orientation, and assist with onboarding processes.

    •       Maintain HR compliance, including updating records and databases to current, accurate information related to manager, title, and department changes in Salesforce.

    •       Conduct exit interviews and provide constructive feedback to management and directors.

    •       Work with managers to ensure corrective action steps are appropriate for employee given circumstances and review all PIPs and written warnings.

    •       Conducting termination meetings with managers to inform employees regarding final paychecks, benefit termination, PTO balances, AMG asset collection process, and ultimately ensuring all documentation for employee terminations are on file.

    •       Organize and maintain termination files and inform all required parties of terminating employees.

    •       Conduct stay interviews with employees after their 90th day and provide constructive feedback as appropriate.

    •       Prepare assessment reports including observations and analysis from stay and exit interviews for strengths and opportunities for upper level leadership review.

    •       Adhere to federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment practices.

    •       Complete new hire I-9 documents and enter into E-Verify within 3-day window.

    •       Complete unemployment claims and file as appropriate.

    •       Benefits Administration which includes enrollment of new hires and employee life status changes, fielding benefits questions, and educating employees regarding company-sponsored benefits

    •       Create and facilitate management training in rotation with the Vice President of Human Resources.

    •       Research various topics and assist in legal research and preparation as assigned by Vice President of Human Resources.

    •       Assist recruiting team with internal interviewing process to review eligibility and qualifications of internal candidates.

    •       Assist with LOA, and workforce Analytics as a secondary when primary Workforce Analyst/HR Generalist is unable.

    •       SOP creation and maintenance for all job functions.

    •       Miscellaneous tasks, as required (audits, new program roll out, compliance, etc.).

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    •       2+ year of HR experience required, including exposure to performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes, and leadership development (preferably experience with situational leadership).

    •       Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.

    •       Strong coaching and leadership development competence.

    •       Excellent consultation and written communication skills.

    •       Ability to develop and maintain credibility and confidentiality with organizational leaders.

    •       Ability to collaborate and interact with employees at all levels.

    •       Must be positive, friendly, approachable, and have strong follow-up skills.

    •       Detail orientated and excellent organizational skills.

    •       Professional demeanor and appearance.

    •       Strong research skills.

    •       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and intermediate level Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookup, and similar functions.

    •       Experience in interviewing and onboarding.

    •       Compensation assessment experience.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    •       Master’s degree in human resource management, business, or related field preferred.

    •       Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification a plus.
