    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    ADVISORY SERVICES - OPERATIONAL TRANSACTIONAL ADVISORY (M&A) INTERN

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Advisory Services (AS) provides transaction support, bankruptcy and restructuring advisory, valuation, corporate finance advisory, litigation and dispute resolution consulting and forensic investigation services. AS provides strategic vision and training to Crowe Global Corporate Advisors (GCA), comprised of corporate finance professionals from independent Crowe Global member firms. AS team members collaborate with other Crowe practices on solutions for a broad range of industries from financial institutions to manufacturing and beyond.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Great candidates for this internship position will have the desire and ability to:

      • Work in transaction environments, helping our clients and full time Consultants analyze and execute on key investment theses across multiple functional areas

      • Assist the team with large and distributed (geographically and functionally) projects cross a variety of complex initiatives

      • Work within a client facing role, engaging with business and IT teams to uncover solutions and execute on strategy

      • Assist with and apply analysis and problem solving to structure unclear information and issues into insights and action

      • Communicate professionally, including creation of executive-level deliverables to support client decision makers

      • Deliver in a highly visible role on-site at our clients, across the US and possibly internationally

    • The successful candidate will be highly adaptable, assertive, and open to new challenges in a fast-paced environment. Skills in analysis and written and verbal communication are critical, as this role will require significant executive-level interaction.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

    • Outstanding academic performance in one of following preferred majors or similar background:

      • Supply Chain Management

      • Industrial Engineering

      • Operations Management

      • Finance

      • Accounting

    • Prior work experience or internship, classwork or other in an Operational setting (i.e., Manufacturing plant or related setting)

    • Completion of introductory courses in finance, accounting and/or economics major at a minimum

    • Exposure to process modeling, process design and optimization preferred

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts and business impacts to diverse audiences, including executives

    • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments with the ability to work long-hours as client demands dictate

    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels

    • Ability to travel up to 50-75%
