    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    ADVISORY SERVICES - VALUATION SERVICES COMPLEX DATA ANALYTICS INTERN

    SUMMARY:

    The Valuation Services (VS) complex analytics group is seeking an intern to join the team, with a focus on expanding our data analytics and statistical modeling unit. Crowe’s VS complex analytics team helps our clients with testing, validation and development of complex statistical and valuation models that include regression and machine learning models utilized in forecasting the default rate and loss given default for commercial and consumer bank loans, performing model validations for complex Fair Lending and Anti-Money Laundering vendor tools, and reviewing proprietary “black box” models/algorithms related to model risk management.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

    • Strong background in data science/data analytics, or financial engineering is a prerequisite, preferably with a master’s degree (although undergraduate qualifications with strong data knowledge and extensive hands-on experience on data intensive projects, including class projects, will be considered)

    • Regression modeling, data visualization , machine learning algorithms experience, including demonstrated class projects

    • Programming experience using data and statistical languages (i.e., SQL, R, Python, SAS, STATA, Tableau, Power BI, JupyterLab, minimum qualifications include fluency in two languages)

    • Good communication skills (both oral and written) to support client facing work

    • Demonstrated history of collaboration and working in a team environment, relevant school projects or internships
