JOB SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Manager of Benefits Services, this position will serve as the primary contact and administrator for all employee benefits plans. The position requires the individual to manage multiple, rapidly changing, and competing priorities independently, as well as maintain strong interpersonal working relationships. The position is responsible for providing analytical and technical support in the delivery of company-wide benefit programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serves as the primary contact to employees, HR Business Partners, Managers, benefit plan providers, and other departments impacted by the companys benefits programs; provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. * Inducts new employees into benefit programs and communicate benefits to staff through one-on-one and group meetings, i.e. new employee orientation, open enrollment briefings, or new contract phase-ins. * Works directly with benefit plan providers, vendors, Legal, auditors and consultants to ensure services delivery standards are met, and facilitates problem resolution. * Participates as a team lead in the planning, organization, development, implementation and follow- through of annual benefits open enrollment for multiple worksites and varying benefit plan offerings. * Assists with maintaining benefit and enrollment data in HR database, in personnel files, and through secure vendor web-based systems. * Assists with assuring all employee benefit materials are kept up to date with policy and legal changes to meet all legal requirements and company policies. * Performs administrative activities for all benefit plans to ensure compliance with plan documents, terms of the insurance contracts, and company policies and procedures. * Maintains knowledge of government laws and regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Reviews benefits plan and programs for compliance with government regulations. Informs management of actions required to ensure plans and programs meet compliance standards and new regulatory requirements, and implement actions. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: **** Required: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on benefits administration experience, OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. * A strong sense of urgency, a high degree of initiative, and the ability to participate as an active and contributing member on cross-functional teams. * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a past-faced environment
