    As a Cloud Solutions Consultant Intern in Crowe’s Consulting Practice, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in our emerging Cloud Practice. You will work with clients to help transform their business requirements into a state-of-the-art cloud solution that will enable their organization to exploit new opportunities, engage better with their customers, and compete globally in the dynamic “Cloud-First” era. This critical role will be primarily technical but will also expose you to business acumen by providing opportunities to assist in developing new solutions to add to our existing portfolio of cloud offerings.

    Crowe’s Public Sector division within our Consulting Practice helps public sector entities improve performance and efficiency across a broad array of their operational needs by implementing technology. By implementing business applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other no-low code business applications such as Power BI and Power Apps, our public sector team members bring a solution that helps public sector entities with issues across financial management, operational efficiency, and information technology. 

    As a Business Technology Consultant, you will be part of the team that assists with facilitating meetings and documenting client requirements for public sector clients.

    Additionally, you will assist with designing, configuring, and implementing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to meet the requirements while providing guidance based on industry best practices.  You will also assist in analyzing key data sets and business intelligence metrics resulting in dashboard creation.  ERP is integrated business management software used to collect, store, manage and analyze data from many business activities.  Crowe has been successful in building ERP solutions for transportation authorities, counties, airports, lotteries, and other public sector agencies throughout the United States.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Develop knowledge in business best practices as it relates to vendor management and procure to pay processes, financial accounting and reporting standards, business intelligence in order to improve our clients’ business processes.
    • Learn Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in detail, and assist with the configuration of key public sector business areas, including: 
      • General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Power BI, Budgeting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Projects & Grants, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets Learn Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps to extend the user of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 product.

       

    • Build new business applications and or business intelligent reports using the no-to-low code Power Platform.
    • Assist in gathering the client’s business requirements and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in detail to meet their needs
    • Assist in designing and testing potential customizations to the solution, including data conversions, interfaces, and functional enhancements
    • Develop procedure documents to support new solution and client business processes
    • Work with clients to test and validate that the final configured solution meets the requirements
    • Assist with executing detailed cutover activities needed to migrate to the new system
    • Assist clients with questions and issues after cutover
    • Work with Microsoft support if issues arise with the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations solution

    Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in:  Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related major (any focus on information systems or technology is a plus) GPA of 3.3 or above
    • Desire to work with public sector clients
    • Willingness and ability to travel

    • Ability to help client personnel leverage technology to solve business problems
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Possess conceptual thinking skills, creativity and flexibility
    • Work well both independently and in a team
    • Must be self-sufficient and have the ability to self-manage
