    West Monroe is seeking interns for Summer 2021 in our Software Engineering (SE) Practice. Technology interns work in a variety of industries including private equity, finance, healthcare, insurance, energy and many more. You will work directly with clients to understand their business needs and strategies to deliver technical solutions ranging from bond trading platforms to mobile applications.

    Interns in our Software Engineering practice have these primary responsibilities

    Functional Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs
    • Collaborate with team members to design and develop software applications
    • Use an Agile approach to iteratively deliver production-ready applications

    You will learn & work with several of our core technologies: (previous experience is not required)

    • Back-end: C#/.NET Core, Java
    • Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, React, VueJS
    • Mobile: Xamarin, Swift, Android
    • Database: SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
    • Platforms: SharePoint, Mulesoft, Boomi
    • Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

    You will learn & work with several of the following patterns & tools: (previous experience is not required)

    • Patterns: MVC, MVVM, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST
    • Source Control: Git, Azure DevOps
    • DevOps Tooling: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
    • Package Management: Bower, NPM, NuGet
    • Testing: XUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, Karma

    • Able to efficiently manage multiple tasks and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Motivated to work with and learn a variety of technologies and languages
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in process  
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation  
    • Ability to Travel Monday - Thursday (weekly) up to 70%

    • Strong communication skills to be able to work with client representatives at all levels
