As a Technical Intern, youll have an opportunity toexplore one of the areas below: DevOps: * Develop Linux operational experience inan agile, enterprise level environment * Learn and utilize configurationmanagement tools at scale * Problem solve issues surrounds a growingproxy environment handling 1.5 million requests per second * Hands-on exposure to Docker andcontainer ecosystems Network Engineering: * Use network automation projects as alens to gain exposure to network operation and engineering * Developing network automation tools,testing new architectures and automation techniques, extending existingin-house and commercial toolsets to implement new functionality * Python and Linux, network fundamentals,exposure to Cisco or other network vendors hardware and software is a plus UI Team: * Analyze, redesign and improve automatedtest code * Work on production codebase usingJavaScript (ES6), node.js, and Angular * Actively participate in daily stands andother aspects of the agile process Data Warehouse: * Data Onboarding; learn the businessbehind how we take a client from first conversation to campaign launch on thead server and everything in between * Data Monitoring; learn the key metricsthe business uses to gauge the health of the operation and how to take actionwhen outliers/anomalies are detected * Inventory of Client Reporting Assets;learn how the Conversant client base consumes data from our operation and makecontributions in how to craft efficiencies in this space * Structured Query Language, DataIntegration, Data Mining, Statistics, Reporting/Business Intelligence,Hadoop/Big Data Environments a plus ** ** ** ** Ad Server: * Work and learn alongside a team ofhighly-skilled, experienced software engineers extending our world-class adtech platform * Develop high-performance Java codedesigned to run on a proprietary distributed system processing millions ofrequests per second * Write code interfacing with big datatechnologies such as NoSQL data stores and Kafka and Spark clusters * Troubleshoot and debug production issues Education and Experience * Candidatefor Bachelors in Computer Science or related technical field * Stronginterpersonal skills and team player attitude * Strongorganizational skills and proven ability to communicate (written & verbal) * Stronganalytical, troubleshooting, problem solving, decision making skills * Thrivesin a dynamic fast-paced environment * Experiencewith SQL, Java, Python and/or Linux preferred To learn more about our Open Source projects check out our Engineering Website Conditions of Employment All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of certain background checks which unless prohibited by applicable law may include criminal history checks, employment verification, education verification, drug screens, credit checks, DMV checks (for driving positions only) and fingerprinting.
