    Job Description

    The Revenue Analyst will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to support the needs of the Accounting Team at Epsilon. We’ll rely on this revenue analyst for invoicing and related applications of Epsilon’s revenue recognition policy. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate and issue customer invoices on a timely basis
    • Analyze contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance to GAAP
    • Support revenue accounting, billing, credit/collections and cash disbursements team activities
    • Interface with and advise company account managers and account executives on questions and procedures
    • Review and approve revenue accounting financial statement coding
    • Support customer onboarding processes
    • Participate in month end close procedures
    • Analyze revenue account variances
    • Prepare account reconciliations
    • Compile and prepare entries to general ledger accounts including deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, accounts receivables, and revenue.
    • Apply financial policy and procedures of the company including internal control policies
    • Participate in quarter-end and annual internal and external audits
    • Learn cross-functional roles in the Finance team to provide back up support when necessary
    • Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings
    • Cross-train and backup other positions within the company, as needed
    • Work on Special Projects, as needed

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Possess an overall understanding of financial statements and GAAP
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, executive presentation
    • Excellent computer skills including MS Excel and knowledge of accounting software such as SAP
    • Manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills
    • Approachable and able to work with others to achieve an agreeable outcome  
    • Effective time management skills and able to manage aggressive deadlines 
    • Ability to adapt to change due to a high growth, fast paced environment

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree, Accounting emphasis preferred
    • 2-3 years billing background in high transactional environment 
    • Working knowledge of GAAP and an understanding accounting controls
