Public Relations and Social Media Intern Department: Public Relations Location: Scottsdale, AZ Fingerpaint, a full service marketing firm in Scottsdale, is seeking a public relations intern for fall semester. Fingerpaint provides a fast paced and exciting learning environment in all facets of public relations, with a strong focus in real estate, education, hospitality, film & entertainment, and wellness industries. Qualifications * Completion of senior-level public relations or communications courses * Ability to complete tasks in an independent atmosphere. While instruction and guidance will always be provided, applicants must have the ability to complete projects and responsibilities without constant supervision * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint * Proficient management of popular social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Wordpress * Knowledge of the Associated Press (AP) writing style * Prior experience in an office or other professional setting preferred Primary Responsibilities * Develop press releases, media advisories, and release report documents * Social media updates and blog writing * Research, compile and update media lists * Monitor various media outlets (online and print) for client news * Update and manage editorial calendars * Manage client clips and develop monthly coverage summaries * Event support and office administrative tasks Contact: Please send resume to Wendy Helle at whelle@fingerpaintmarketing.com
