Job Description

The Business Development Intern will work on both the agency’s Business Development and Account Service teams researching potential business opportunities for current and new clients and supporting the account team with day-to-day project management. In addition, they will support the agency in helping to design the company’s day of giving with committee support.

The internship will begin on May 20th and ends on August 9th. 

Responsibilities:

Business Development (25% of internship)

• Primary research to support business development pitches (current and new clients)
• Participate in brainstorming sessions
• Development and participation in presentation of client presentations

Account Service (60% of internship)

• Event Research – finding events that fit the brand campaigns needs throughout the summer
• Inputting events into the event database
• Outreach and communication to events/venues to secure sponsorship/partnerships with them
• Compiling post event data into weekly recaps in PowerPoint for the client
• Communicating with vendors ranging from ordering event premiums, to uniforms, to securing staff for events
• Data Entry when necessary
• Creating Event Run of Shows 
• Any other miscellaneous tasks that pop up on projects

Other Responsibilities (15% of internship)

• Organize the Company’s Day of Giving
• Attend Inspira U (peer expert directed classes on daily marketing tasks)
• Participate in a team leadership orientation
• Participate in Inspira culture events
• Create an End of Internship project presentation.

Qualifications

• Creativity 
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint & Mac
• Email Communication
• Excellent internet researching skills
• Organization Skills
