    Job Description

    Metia believes that delivering the right content to the right customer in the right context is key to successful marketing, and the content strategist’s utmost responsibility is to help these three things converge. This includes not only the creative work of storytelling and messaging, concepting, and user journeys but also the planning and tactics to thoughtfully deliver and maintain the resulting content. At Metia, the content strategist sits at the intersection of the customer insights, design, demand gen, and account/project management teams, advocating for high-quality content across groups to bring about successful results.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Partner with clients and agency teams to understand goals and objectives and to define measurable success
    • Conduct discovery work to get at the heart of content needs
    • Lead creative ideation and concepting efforts for videos, thought leadership, and integrated campaigns
    • Partner with the insights team in application of audience and journey insights
    • Create messaging and positioning frameworks that establish the core narrative for a client’s program, offering, vertical, or brand as a whole—bringing to bear topic research, competitor analysis, audience needs, unique selling points, and proof points
    • Audit and map content toward a variety of outcomes, like message prioritization, journey phases, channel planning, and gap analysis
    • Build content governance frameworks (including deliverables like workflows, guides, templates, and editorial calendars) to set the plan for creating, curating, and maintaining content in accordance to the strategy
    • Evaluate content performance and make recommendations based on quantitative analysis
    • Define content models and metadata recommendations for IA and UX design
    • Build recommendations for social media post creation and tactics
    • Keep a finger on the pulse of content strategy trends and best practices in the industry

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

    • 5+ years of experience executing and managing digital content projects
    • Passion and high standards for quality content experiences
    • Senses of curiosity, imagination, empathy—and a knack for storytelling
    • Analytical skills to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data and translate ideas into actionable, measurable strategies
    • Experience working with B2B technology companies and comfort with quickly ramping up on technical subject matter
    • Experience working with companies large and small, with varying levels or complexity when it comes to business structures and dynamics
    • Leadership skills to guide client buy-in, stakeholder agreement, and internal execution
    • Ability to manage and effectively prioritize workload
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Familiarity with SEO and UX best practices
    • Familiarity with content best practices across digital channels, including email, social media, websites, events, and search
